Business Startup Checklist

Starting a business is a big step, but it doesn’t have to be overwhelming.

We’ve been there, which is why we’re so passionate about working with Startups. Use this checklist to plan your business startup and launch. And course, if you have questions, set up a coffee date to see how we can help!

ask the tough questions first

Who wants your product/service? (AKA Target Audience)

What sets you apart?

Why is this idea important to you?

Can it be profitable and self-sustaining?

Write your mission statement.

get legal stuff out of the way

Register your LLC

Sales tax permit (if needed)

Choose an accounting software

Establish set pricing

Creat contract terms, discounts, and refund policies

Get insurance and any industry credentials needed (cyber insurance, etc.)

Branding and design

Get a logo design (We can help!)

Register social media handles (#ProTip: It’s helpful if they’re all the same!)

Get a website design and domain! (We can help with this too!)

Create company emails

Website build (we can help with this too!)

Launch strategy (building an online following, community partnerships, etc.)

marketing logistics

New to the small biz world? Put a "10" in front of your estimate number. You'll look like you've been in business forever.

List intangibles.

Tangible services are easily identifiable but your clients stay with you because of the intangible things you offer!

P.S. All of these steps work for your invoices, too!
